Derived from the word “charisma,” “rizz” refers to a person’s ability to attract a romantic partner through “style, charm or attractiveness,” dictionary publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) said 广电大流量卡in its announcement Monday. The word received more than 32,000 votes from the public, OUP added.牛津大学出版社4日表示，“rizz”以32000多票当选年度词汇，这个词源自“charisma（魅力）”，指的是一个人通过“风格、魅力或吸引力”吸引情感伴侣的能力。
“Rizz” soared in popularity earlier this year, after Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was asked by Buzzfeed what the secret to广电大流量卡 his rizz was. His answer? “I have no rizz whatsoever. I have limited rizz.”今年早些时候，《蜘蛛侠》演员汤姆·霍兰德在接受Buzzfeed采访时被问到他的“rizz(魅力)”秘密是什么，“rizz”一词从此走红。霍兰德回答：“我没有任何魅力，我的魅力有限。”
The publisher of the Oxford English Dictionary added that the word can also be used as a verb, in the phrase “rizz up,” meaning to at广电大流量卡tract or chat up a person.牛津大学出版社称，“rizz”也可以用作动词，短语“rizz-up”表示吸引或搭讪一个人。
While word of the year contenders do not need to be new words, they must have a significance to the year in question. OUP said its 2023 shortlist was chosen to “reflect the mood, ethos, or preoccupations of the year.”虽然年度词汇的候选词不一广电大流量卡定要是新词，但必须对所讨论的年份具有重要意义。牛津大学出版社表示，其2023年年度词汇的入围名单是为了“反映今年的情绪、风气或关注点”。
OUP’s experts shortlisted eight words, which were put into competing pairs for the public to vote on. From the resulting four finalists, the experts did one last analysis, before picking “rizz” as the winner.入选牛津大学出版社年度词汇的单词共八个，这些单词广电大流量卡被分成两组，供公众投票。专家们对最终入围的四个单词进行分析，最终选出“rizz”作为2023年年度词汇。
The other finalists were “prompt,” the instruction given to an artificial intelligence program that influences the content it creates; “situationship,” which means a romantic partnership that is not considered to be formal or established; and lastl广电大流量卡y, “Swiftie” – the name given to an avid fan of singer Taylor Swift.最终入围名单还包括“prompt(提示词)”，即对人工智能程序发出的指令，影响或决定其生成的内容；“situationship（状态恋情）”，意思是一种非正式的、尚未交往的情侣关系；“Swiftie”——歌手泰勒·斯威夫特的狂热粉丝的名字。
